The 8 day/ 9 night Peloponnese Tour Itinerary:

Day 0: Arrival, met at the airport and taken to an A class hotel 2 minutes walk from the Acropolis.

Day 1: Fast highway to Corinth Canal; then coastal route to Epidavros Theatre, Nafplion, Tirintha, Mycenae. Dinner included in country hotel with pool.

Day 2: Nafplion Castle, Plaka Leonidion, Eleonas Monastery, Monemvassia (2 nights). Flowery, traditional stone built hotel by the sea.

Day 3: Optional rides to either Kyparrisi or Mistras. Lots of exploring in Monemvassia to do for those who prefer to stay.

Day 4: Gytheio, Kotronas and The Mani via some spectacular coastal roads to stay in a tiny fishing village . Traditional stone built hotel on the beach.

Day 5: Diros Caves, Kalamata, Methoni Castle and Pilos. Wonderful views from the balconies of this excellent hotel on the sea front.

Day 6: Inland via rural and mountain roads to Nestors Palace, Ancient Messini, and to stay in Olympia (2 nights). A class hotel with pool.

Day 7: Optional loop ride to Temple of Apollo. Or spend the day in Olympia.

Day 8: Great sweeping mountain road to Ancient Nemea and the Ancient Corinth Agora, then fast highway back to stay in an A class seaside hotel with pools in Mati (not far from the airport).

 

The 8 day / 9 night Alexandrian Tour Itinerary:

Day 0: Arrival, met at the airport and taken to an A class hotel 2 minutes walk from the Acropolis.

Day 1: Fast highway north then great minor roads and a magnificant ride over the mountain of Parnassos to visit Delphi in the late afternoon ( after the tourist buses have gone) and to stay in charming hotel by the sea.

Day 2: Coastal route to Nafpactos Castle, Astakos and to stay in a hotel with pool by the Marina on the island of Levkada,

Day 3: Fabulous ride via little known new roads to Ioannina arriving early to have plenty of time to visit the village in the tiny island on the lake and the Old City of Ioannina.

Day 4: North to Kastoria via spectacular Alpine-type routes to stay in Kastoria in an excellent hotel with a pool and on the lake. (2 nights).

Day 5: Loop ride through the rural northernmost parts of Greece to Prespa Lake on the Albanian and Macedonian border.

Day 6: Heading south to Grevena on minor roads (all roads we use are well paved and a lot newly paved thanks to the EU); then almost unused new highway to Katara Pass, Metsovo and to arrive early in Meteora with plenty of time to visit the monasteries both that day and the next morning.

Day 7: South via Farsala, Glifa and a ferry ride to the island of Evia to stay in a pretty flowery hotel by the sea.

Day 8: Coastal, then tree lined roads to Halkida, bridge to the mainland, fast highway, then minor road to Marathon and to Athens to stay in an A class seaside hotel with pools in Mati (not far from the airport).

    The 11 day/ 12 night Southern Italy & Sicily Tour Itinerary:                                                                                                              

Day 1, 29th September 2007: Arrival Day: Airport transfer to an A class hotel 2 minutes walk from the Acropolis.    

Day2, 30th: Collection of the bikes and ride to Patras via Corinth Ancient Agora, lunch in Sikiona to take the overnight ferry to Bari in A class cabins. Leaves at 6pm, calls at Igoumenitsa (12 midnight) and Corfu (1.30am) and arrives in Bari at 8.30am.

Day 3, 1st October: Inland riding to Pompeii via Melphi to stay for 2 nights in a good hotel opposite the site entrance.

Day4, 2nd: Visit Pompeii and a loop ride to Herculeneum and Mt. Vesuvius.

Day5, 3rd: Down the Amalfi Coast, Phaestum and Salerno to stay in Amanteo.

Day 6, 4th: Fast highway via Scylla & ferry crossing to Messina, to stay in Taormina.

Day7, 5th : Inland riding round Mt Etna, visiting Troina and on to Castel di Tusa. A very special art hotel by the sea for 2 nights.

Day 8, 6th: Ride to Corleone and visit local art exhibitions.

Day 9, 7th: Back to the mainland and riding inland up to the wooded Sila district to stay in Carnegliatello.

Day 10, 8th: Wooded ride down to the coast and up to stay in the weird and wonderful Matera.

Day 11, 9th: Late start to have time to visit the troglodyte houses in Matera, to ride to Alberobello, the village of trullis houses, visit a grotto, and so to Bari & the overnight ferry to Patras.

Day 12, 10th: Ferry arrives in Patras at 12.30pm. We ride back via Nafpaktos Castle & Delphi to stay in an A class seaside hotel with pools in Mati (not far from the airport)..
